My mom never really noticed. She noticed when she was breast feeding my little brother and blood started coming out instead of milk.

My mom had a mammogram. The radiologist thought the spots were just regular calcium deposits.
Turns out it was triple negative breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nods. Mastectomy, radiation and chemo saved her life.
This could SAVE a life.

My mom had some slight pain in her breast and chest but ignored it. One day, she sneezed while we were in the drive-through at the bank and she let out the loudest scream I’ve ever heard. After x-rays, a mammogram, and a biopsy, they found out it was cancer and it had already spread to multiple areas of her body. The force of the sneeze actually broke her rib, which was weakened from cancer. There was a lump in her breast the whole time but she didn’t think it was anything. She had a mastectomy, did radiation, and chemo, but it was too late. If she had it checked out earlier, I’m certain she’d still be here today.
Touch your boobs ladies! Touch them all the time. Have your partner touch them. Pay attention to them. Don’t be afraid to be a little pushy with your doctor when they tell you “it’s probably nothing”. Because one day it could be something and being a ‘bitch’ could save your life.

Actually Killer Whale is a very incorrect name. No one has ever been killed by an orca in the wild, attacked, yes. Killed, no. They have been known to kill their handlers in captivity, but hell, lots of animals get cranky in captivity. They’re Orcas*.

Be sure to look out for the Moon these next few months as it approaches Perigee, because the full moons during these times will appear exceptionally large. The Moon will be at its Perigee, or closest approach, in July 23 and it will reach full moon only a few minutes after it passes this point in its orbit.
These ‘super moons’ not only appear larger because they are physically closer but, combined with a full moon, the mind can play tricks on you to think they are much larger. This phenomena is called the Moon Illusion. Try to catch these full moons as they rise/set because the illusion works when there is an object in the foreground, like a tree, building or mountains.
